Custom printed boxes FAQ

We offer two great options for custom printed boxes:

  • You can purchase flat, unassembled boxes from places like Amazon or Uline, and we can print directly on them—up to 100 pieces.
  • Or, we can create a box from scratch, cut and printed to your specifications using cardstock, white cardboard, or kraft cardboard.

Absolutely. We can cut and print custom boxes from cardstock, white cardboard, or kraft cardboard. We do require a print-ready die line file for custom shapes and dimensions. If you don’t have one, our award-winning designers at YellowDog can help you create exactly what you need.

For orders over 100 units, we work with a trusted trade printing partner who specializes in large-scale box production. We’ll manage the process for you and ensure the final product matches your vision, budget, and timeline.

For the best results, we recommend submitting a vector-based PDF or AI file with your artwork and a die line included or placed on a separate layer. Files should include 0.125″ bleed, and any text should be outlined to ensure accuracy. We’re happy to review your file before printing to ensure it’s production-ready.

For short-run orders produced in-house (under 100 units), our typical turnaround is 7–10 business days. For larger orders produced with our trade partner, turnaround can take up to 3 weeks, depending on the complexity and materials involved. We’ll always provide a clear timeline upfront.
